Paula Tobias
Guest Blogger Paula Tobias, will be one of “My Women of Worth” series, and as Muley recently stated:

Oh ! Oh ! – that woman -those women”

In the meantime Paula’s thoughts for this Monday:
I have quite a few friends right now that are going through some tough times; it’s hard to watch people you love hurt. You want to do something but you can’t, you want to say the magic words to help or make it better, but you can’t find them. So in my search I did find a few…..

*A woman is like a tea bag. It’s only when she’s in hot water that you realize how strong she is.

~Attributed to both Eleanor Roosevelt and Carl Sandburg
And during this Election Time:

*Women belong in the house… and the Senate.

~Author Unknown

*I think it’s about time we voted for senators with breasts. After all, we’ve been voting for boobs long enough.

~Clarie Sargent, Arizona senatorial candidate
Couldn’t help but think of “THAT WOMAN” with this one:

*American women expect to find in their husbands a perfection that English women only hope to find in their butlers.

William Somerset Maugham

The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it.

~Roseanne Barr

I personally have found that the “Greater Power” sometimes gives us a “Thump on the Head” when we get caught up in the days trivial matters and all of a sudden, the real importance of our existence is brought to our attention. Example: health, life, love etc……

So be aware: There is no assurance of tomorrow, make the best of this day.

Paula, I hope you’re not saying vote for Hillary because she’s a woman. Maybe you’re saying don’t NOT vote for her just because she’s a woman. I will never vote for someone just because she/he is a woman, man, black, Republican, Democrat, martian, whatever. Nor will I not vote for them for the same reasons.

So I have this Daily calendar of “Words of Wisdom for Women,” a replacement to the Wild Words from Wild Women one I had last year, and here are some of the quotes I have enjoyed:

“We grow neither better nor worse as we get old, but more like ourselves.” May Lamberton Becker, editor

“I have to excercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I’m doing.” Marsha Dobel

” I feel there are two people inside me – me and my intuition. If I go against her, she’ll screw me every time, and if I follow her, we get along nicely.” -Kim Basinger

” I don’t want to say that I want a man to like me for my mind, because that’s going to sound like I think I’m Albert Einstein. But I would like someone who doesn’t accuse me of making up words like ‘segue.’”-Mariah Carey

“Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.” -Judge Judy Sheindlein

“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway.” -Mary Kay Ash

“If men knew what women laughed about, they would never sleep with us.” -Erica Jong

“Nobody’s last words have ever been ‘I wish I had eaten more rice cakes.’” -Amy Krouse Rosenthal

“Inside every older woman is a young girl wondering what the hell happened.”-Cora Harvey Armstrong

“The secret to staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.”-Lucille Ball

“Never look as if you’re lost. Look as if you know exactly where you’re going. If you don’t know where you’re going, head straight to the bar.”-Joan Collins

“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are nor great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.” -Martha Graham

“Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion.” -Mary Manin Morrissey

“Befriend you inner bitch. If you’re heading into battle, you want that bitch on your side.”-Mama Gena

“A person who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused.” – Shirley MacLaine

    and my favorite:
“If you can’t be a good example, then you’ll just have to be a horrible warning.” Catherine Aird, crime novelist

Have a good day, and know that this one’s thinking of you…

    Kaye,
No I am not recommending anyone based on their sex, party, color, religion, shoe size etc. (These were just a few quotes I found amusing).
    I’ve been there.
I hope everyone votes for a person based on their character and their plan.
A good way to judge a person’s actions in the future are his actions in the past.
Thank you for commenting. Please let Loraine (or I) know what you’d like to read about here on That Woman!.
