You will remember that I had decided to use Lorain venues and businesses for my part of the wedding TA DAH!!! THEY ALL GET A+++++ . I was so thrilled on Friday evening – when it was so hot and uncomfortable to walk into The Rose Cafe at the Beach House, Lakeview Park.

From the beautiful blue of Lake Erie sparkling and shining

through the sparkling shining windows of the Beach House,

the flowers , the greenery, the splashing cool fountain on the outside

reflected in the wonderful flowers by “Off Broadway”
Elegant Beach it was!!!! The photos just do not do justice to the arrangements and the aroma OH MY!

The Ice Vase for the flowers ( about 4 foot high) had to be touched to make sure it was made of Ice and not crystal ( De Lucas )

The tables dressed in the colours of the sky outside white cloud table cloths and chair coverings – Lake Erie Blue chair sashes – and delphinium blue napkins took away the heat and humidity instantly .

Nikki with the Brit Best Man

and the food OH MY!!!

and the service again OH MY!!!! The staff of Deluca’s and the Metro Parks couldn’t have been more helpful if they had been “family”.

Every little detail was anticipated and taken care of I felt like royalty and we were treated as such .

The Barber Shoppers were delightful and even color co-ordinated their vests for the occasion…..

You want to throw a party come to Lorain!

The Bride and Groom were Happy!

Henery I just can’t say enough about the people who I did business with it is terrific to have the personal service you get from a local business…. and Rakich and Rakish did us proud too .Wedding photos will be forthcoming…….

How fabulous – and this was only the rehearsal! Certainly different to an Aussie wedding. Gorgeous colours, what a great venue.

One of the comments I heard going through the line of wonderful foods was “This is like a WEDDING!!”

Mum’s cakes were the best as well.

    It was perfection.

Oh yes MUM”S cakes and what they do to the body is why you won’t be seeing photos of the “zebra woman” ๐Ÿ™‚

I am back over the pond and it kind of feels funny being here at the moment. I can only say that we all had a really brilliant time, at both the rehersal and the wedding. I think I have actually come home for a rest.

Well done to Chris and Angela, so happy for you both

Let us know when you’re coming back. If the Ritchey home is too busy we have a quiet lakefront awaiting.
BTW Frank would love to “hang out” with you.
It was a pleasure meeting you and we had a great time at the rehearsal and wedding. Loraine really knows how to do it right.

I came across your blog because my fiance and I are strongly considering the Rose Cafe in Lorain for our wedding ceremony and reception. If it isn’t too much trouble, would you mind sharing your thoughts about it? the Rose Cafe is absolutely gorgeous, but I am worried that because Lakeview Park is a public park, there might be a lot of strangers there during our wedding and parking may also be an issue? Did you encounter this?

    Best wishes,

Erica , They close off the building for private functions etc and I am sure they also take parking into consideration – All I can tell you is that the Park staff were wonderful and De Lucas ( who catered did a wonderful job – I don’t give praise lightly as readers of this blog know too well and Lakeview and DelLucas earned “gold stars”- I would meet with the park staff and tell them of your concerns….they are really terrific….
