HOLD ME BACK – please!

by Loraine Ritchey

With all that has been going on in my life the past few months – the roller coaster ride of Cancer I have found one or two things have happened….

1. My mind is focused on one thing “Cancer” everything else stays on the edge of acknowledgment. I have to try very hard to let other thoughts and experiences come into the realm of reality .

2. I have absolutely no patience left – I don’t care about being tolerant of others if they come into my world – I no longer suffer fools gladly or try and make allowances as I once did- I can no longer excuse behaviour that I would have dismissed and shugged off, apparently that part of me has shut down .

3. I have learned the true meaning of friendship – they are the people in my world that take my phone calls and emails when I am so angry ( and you all know who you are ) – who hold me back from “really telling you all on this blog” what I REALLY think of certain people and situations ( although I would think some of you have guessed by now that I am disgusted and in some cases hurt by what has gone on recently.)
” I thought I knew thee” syndrome – it wouldn’t do any good and my “hold me back please group ” know it.

So getting to the point of this post.

To update the 5,000,000 stem cells are being harvested this week and the first of the transplants will be hopefully scheduled for next week.

I am going to be an emotional wreck for the next couple of months – especially with a baby due in the middle of it all……
I am going to take deep cleansing breaths – forget about what I can’t change ( especially my disapointment in the people I thought I knew) and make sure my “hold me back support group” are on speed dial!

Since I am not sure how much blogging will get done by myself I am hoping Kelly and Paula “those women” will be bringing you some interesting posts. They will probably stay up longer than a day – because they might be a tad busy answering the phone too and Mark has graciously OK’d me running some of his previous “city articles” that I believe need to be put back on the “front burner”

Hopefully there will also be some good news with regard to the 2nd street project- Brian and Kalin and others are on board and waiting for the OK and warm days .

Calling ALL “WRITERS”

ED NOTE: I received this from Dr. Tavenner and since “writing” is the topic of the day – thought it a fitting spot:
quill

Dear Folks, if you know any writers (or people who support writers), please encourage them to register for this book festival in Fostoria, OH. Two of our members in the The International Writers Association (Naomi Chapman and Bonnie Swartz) work very hard to put this event on with their incredibly supportive community….if there is any way you can get publicity for the event, attend the event, or register for the event, please consider doing so. If you plan to come, get your local media to interview you for the festival….it is Oct. 24th, but we need to drum up business now! Write on! Dr. Tavenner

P.S. I know many of you receiving this info are not IWA members, but as far as I know, everyone receiving this info either writes or cares about writers! Please forward this info to everyone you think will be interested or supportive.

IF THE HEADLINE DON’T FIT THEN YOU HAVE TO ‘QUIT READING’

AND TODAY’S AWARD FOR ‘NOTORIOUS OPPONENTS OF EXACTITUDE” GOES TO THE MORNING JOURNAL
spider-19

Just as I thought media mythering on the CRA(p) couldn’t get any worse the Morning Journal’s headline today on the CRA (p)

“Uses for CRA fees debated: Some homeowners call tax break charges excessive, want money returnedby Jeff Green

I have gone through the article , such as it is, I can’t find any homeowners quoted unless of course you count Holcomb, Snodgrass, Krasienko, Flores, Keys, Chandra, Ziance, ,Slocum,Stempfer,Msilecky, Flores and Schuster as “homeowners” seems to me they are all either attorneys or public officials.

But then again maybe I missed the quotes on line????
