Never too old to learn?

Things I have learned over the past months:
facecancer face of cancer

1. Don’t take being young and healthy for granted.

2. Lizards and spiders and creepy crawlies which would send me running no longer bring fear -they are nothing compared to Cancer!

3. There is a great goodness in people- even perfect strangers.

4. I would be grateful to the Government of the United States and in particular Congress as thanks to their decisions there is a glimmer of hope for those fighting the rare diseases

An orphan drug is a pharmaceutical agent that has been developed specifically to treat a rare medical condition, the condition itself being referred to as an orphan disease. The assignment of orphan status to a disease and to any drugs developed to treat it is a matter of public policy in many countries, and has resulted in medical breakthroughs that would not have otherwise been achieved due to the economics of drug research and development
