CIA Scholarship – Chris Ritchey

February 7, 2010 at 1:06 pm 6 comments

I received a letter from the President of Cleveland Institute of Art on Friday –
( Photo of self ( CIA) Chris RITCHEY

The scholarship in memory of Christopher Ritchey 06 will be used to award a scholarship for the year 2010-2011 to a 4th year student majoring in Communication Design.

The award recipient should exhibit
diversity, tenacity and out of the box thinking and does not necessarily have to be a student performing at the top of the class.

I also received a note from Wyse Advertising stating they will also be contributing to the CIA scholarship in memory of Chris.

I also received another letter from CIA that other individuals ( and you know who you are 🙂 ) had also made contributions.

Thank you!!!! – I want the memory of Chris to be living and still giving rather than a name etched on a cold granite headstone.

NOTE: If you wish to contribute ( all contributions are tax deductible)
Send the contribution
To David Deming ( Office of the President)
Cleveland Institute of Art,
11141, East Blvd.
Cleveland Ohio 44106-1710
and mark the contribution Chris Ritchey Scholarship .

Was happy to have read that you actually ventured out with you husband to find a “project”. Do not allow the looks of others to stifle your tears. I see rainbows or a beautiful sunrise/sunset and that triggers all sorts of shared things, and I cry and I DON’T CARE WHO SEES ME DO IT! The tears help keep the memories alive, the help cleanse the mind, the bolster the heart. Do not hide from the tears, and do no hide your tears. Let them wash over you and help you learn to cope. The pain will become “tolerable” some day, never goes away, just beomes tolerable for lack of a better description.

Love and hugs to you both.
