After all the rain I was wondering whether we would be able plant and spruce up the area known as Settler’s Watch on May 21st.

Thanks to the generous donations of plants from CenturyLink and the Lorain Pride Day City of Lorain Committee, the donation of “much” mulch from Kurtz Bros- Avonwe had a lot of work to do.

CenturyLink showed up in “family force” bright an early and luckily the skies stayed bright.

Gavin too was happy he found a friend.

Neighbors,

sons, fathers, uncles and grandsons

family all pitched in

I didn’t think the site looked too bad before we started but the few hours of hard work

a whole lot of PRIDE

and some playtime

brought forth a huge difference – Settlers’ Watch sparkled!!!

and just in time for the Black River Historical Society’s Trolley Tour
