Following the news of Lorain City Schools Superintendent Cheryl Atkinson’s departure from the district, several members of the school board expressed sentiments of surprise coupled with sadness.
“This kind of came as a surprise,” board member Paul Biber said. “We thought we had dodged this bullet.”
“I was shocked,” board President Tony Dimacchia said. “I thought we would for sure have her for this year.”
