Artistic license (also known as dramatic license, historical license, poetic license, narrative license, licentia poetica, or simply license) is a colloquial term, sometime euphemism, used to denote the distortion or complete ignorance of fact, ignoring the conventions of grammar or language.
I would first ask you to read the following blog posts from our Literary Licensed Bloggers of Lorain
Lisa’s post with photos has the tale of woe on 10th Street- One of the neighbors attended last night’s City Council meeting – was seen but not heard- can you hear her now?
WE DIDN’T START THE FIRE

Mayor Construction Estimator knows that. Timely demolition and proper cleanup of the sites are Community Development’s responsibility and they blew it this time, too. Last night, City Council allowed the Mayor to insult the residents who were bringing this issue to light, then gave them no opportunity to respond. Like I said last night, that’s why we blog!
The pictures don’t lie, folks.
Next up is newly ” Literary Licensed”Blogger REE
Lorain Mayor Tony Krasienko – That’s Just Wrong, Page 25
http://margareetaville.blogspot.com/2011/07/lorain-mayor-tony-krasienko-thats-just.html
The subject of the burned out houses was brought up by Councilman Silecky and then Councilwoman Molnar added to it. (*As a side note here, yes that is plural. Houses. Please see Lisa’s blog with pictures of the other house!) Then, it was Mayor Tony Krasienko’s turn to have his say. Mayor Tony Krasienko said that all this was brought about because someone took “literary license and took all this out of context and made this into something it’s not.” Really?? Really??? That was a real professional comment!
Let’s see, “literary license”. I may not be an English major, but my understanding of literary license is to embellish facts or make facts up to support a story. In other words, lie. PLEASE, Mayor Tony Krasienko, tell me where I lied. What part is not the truth?
Now we come to ME ‘THATWOMAN” It seems I have been writing without a license due to the confusion over the ENGLISH language and my flying fingers. However I will have that remedied in my next post.
In the meantime a couple of terms that give “English” to the meaning of last nights council meeting in my opinion:
LOAD OF CODSWALLOP- RHUBARB RHUBARB RHUBARB AND WHAT BOLLOCKS!
That last one might not get past the Literary Licensing Agent in charge so I must be more careful with my English… more when I have received my card-carrying Literary License

If you need a sponsor to get past the literary licensing agent, call on your fellow literary licensed bloggers! We’ll sponsor you so you can get your OWN literary license!

It’s easier than getting a bicycle license! 😉 haha

Did he then substantiate point-by-point what was said by Lisa or others that was “over the top” as it were and subsequently provide a moment of clarity for the attendees.
Did he THEN offer the timeline for demolition/cleanup that Loraine spoke of
Lisa’s photographs spoke a thousand words.
1)Bring the photos to the Mayor’s office
2)Announce on this blog that you have done so
3)Email all city offices/employees that you know that you intend to call Krasienko out with these photos
4)Ask where at last meeting did he announce the timeline and why he did not… ask then when he does intend to announce the timeline

Timeline? Not in the City Government vocabulary
Email? City has infrastructure issues including their IT department
This is typical, make it difficult, unbearable, pay lip service and then do nothing, they’ll eventually go away (their mind set)

Sometimes I believe it isn’t so much about “lip service” as the inability to do anything …….. 10 weeks for an IT problem ( because it isn’t just me ) in one of the largest employers of Lorain and our corporate headquarters of the community is really not acceptable …….. it wouldn’t happen in the private sector no would it……….
