It “IS” a great day(s) in the City of Lorain!!!

The water was blue, the sky was blue , clouds puffy and white sailed overhead and the sun shone- I would like to wax lyrical but I am just smiling from ear to ear and not , for once, thinking.

Friday and Saturday morning found people stopping by at the 2nd street project with water jugs, plants, bushes and shovels – some I expected some I didn’t- I love pleasant surprises!!!!

What a terrific two mornings -the children of Lorain who came over to help – little hands making light work of planting and watering and joining those of us with the bad backs and character lines.

July the 11th at 9:00 am. will find more “volunteers” at 2nd street and Oberlin Avenue- last morning for photo’s ( shhhhh a surprise) So if you would like to come and join us bring a perennial plant or ground cover that is sun and drought tolerant and something to dig with .

Did I mention K- Cream corner is just across the way – after all that hard work you will deserve an ice cream .
