The “PRINCESS” and the 4 Wheeler- Chapt.1 – Chris Ritchey

Once upon a time in the Land of Loss lived a young Knight whose life -career and dignity in death was taken from him .

The Princess ( Angela Marie Lombardi Ritchey ( now Murphy) of the Land of I-ME-WE had married the Knight and in doing so held all the legal rights , taking away even the moral rights as part of her dowry.

She did dishonor to his family and denied their closure. She had her minions tell the inhabitants of all the lands how the “Wicked Witch” has caused her and her “court followers” such grief.

But before the wickedness that befell the Knight’s family there was the tale of “The Princess of I-ME-WE and the “beast” of the 4 wheeler”

– Are you sitting comfortably then I will begin

Chapter One –

The young Knight lay in a cubicle one day 16 months before his death waiting to have port surgery in the Clinic of Cleveland – he said to the Wicked Witch -who was his mother- and who always accompanied him to all such things

“I am buying a four-wheeler – relax at least it isn’t a motorcycle- I want to ride and I hate being inside anymore- I love riding Jim’s 4 wheeler through the woods, I can forget all this crap ( gestering to the hospital cubicle)…. and I plan on some out-of-state 4 wheeling trips!

The Wicked Witch said

do you think that is wise?

He laughed and said

Getting cancer I realized that you have to life to the very fullest and not be deterred if you really want to do something.

The Princess sat stone faced pretending to read her book – her eyes lowered – but her body stiffening -none but the Wicked Witch noticed the change in her demeanor.

The young Knight continued

Do you remember when Jim asked Dad for permission to marry Nikki and Dad said ” the dowry would be a four-wheeler ?

Note: this became a family joke of sorts as when Jim says “I have changed my mind you can have your daughter back ” her Dad responds “hell no you never paid the dowry!!!!!”

and how Dad he used to say that when he retired he was going to buy a four-wheeler and take it down south – and then I got cancer and he didn’t do that?

Yes , the Wicked Witch remembered

I am going to buy one and leave it at Nikki’s and Jim’s and Dad can ride it anytime he likes and I am going to on a 4 wheeler trip with Jim and the guys after I get done with these stem cell transplants.

The young Knight was taken to have a port put in. As the nurses wheeled the gurney out of the cubicle he smiled and said

not exactly the four-wheeler I was thinking about

as he patted the gurney.

Weeks passed and indeed the young Knight purchased the 4 wheeler. He called his family to his sisters home to show his pride of purchase. He loved riding the “beast” (as he named it ) through the woods. He would be gone for hours and sometimes he would take the “Princess” – or he rode with Jim, the Wicked Witch’s son-in-law, getting caked with mud and muck through streams and mud holes- coming back face flushed with life and laughter.

The payment wasn’t bad at all just over $110.00 a month and although the young Knight was on partial wages from his place of employment his Uncle and Dad were making up the difference in his wages.

Sometimes the Princess was given $1,000 a month and truck payments and indeed a couple of 4 wheeler payments were also picked up by the Wicked Witch and his Nana– His truck insurance was also paid . Later the Princess was given $2,000 a month .

In fact all out of pocket expenses ( for which there are records) were paid for by the Wicked Witch and the young Knight’s family .

No one wanted the young couple to be in debt or worried about money when they had so much else to worry about.

This was apparently a concern for the Queen B ( the Princess’ mother) too) as she stated when during a conversation with a friend of the young Knight who commiserated

the news is terrible that Chris’ cancer had returned.

“I just hope it doesn’t put them in debt”

said the Queen B ( the mother of the princess) .

Shocked the friend said nothing – left standing with her mouth open -incredulous that money would be the first thought of the Queen B when her son- in- law was fighting for his life.

The young Knight did go on his four wheeling trip. The fact that a doctor was also on the trip just weeks after getting out of the 2nd transplant helped the Wicked Witch come to terms with the fact he was tearing through the woods and riding like she knew he would- without thought to life and limb just enjoying the freedom , the camaraderie and sheer pleasure of being at one with the outdoors, that he so loved.

He came back from the trip bound and determined that next year they would plan a Father’s Day trip and his dad would go with them and ride.

He also came back with the cells of obscenity starting their journey through his body once more. It took another two months for the determination to be made . The young Knight has however already planned the trip for the following June.

It was then that some of the “Villagers” decided to help the young Knight and hold a fundraiser- the Princess was told . However in the realm of “I-ME-WE” this did not go down well and the rulers of I-ME_WE took over the fundraiser and effectly locked the villagers out . The Wicked Witch was in the state of Texas and did not know her villagers had been so rudely dealt with until later.

The funds were sent to the bank of King Weak n’Weedy and the Sisters of the Queen held between them access to the account. Cash was put into a safe deposit box and held for the Princess’ personal use. This the Queen B informed the Wicked Witch . The funds raised were many thousands – although the Wicked Witch was NEVER given a full accounting

“We don’t want people to know the full amount – we aren’t publicizing that”

stated the Queen B

However the Knight had told his mother the Wicked Witch and his sister that as of October 28th the fund was over $36,000 ( after expenses) and climbing…but the “Wicked Witch “ could not thank her friends and villagers because the King Weak n’ Weedy only gave her a partial accounting and no accounting for the cash donations. when she requested copies of all donations.

ED NOTE- this fairy tale has all documentation, emails, witnesses, text copies backing up any statements of events made in this “not a fairy tale”

Loraine, it’s hilarious that the picture of the Queen B actually looks like someone we know! It’s in the eyes! Good job!

Does the evil and conniving and lie-telling in the Lombardi family know no bounds?

It’s too bad she still has your last name. A demon like this, I wouldn’t want her being identified with with me at all.

TECHNICALLY telling people that the Ritchey family “demanded” money a month after Chris death ( although demanded was too strong a term- they are telling “PART” of a truth just not the whole truth ….there was a letter sent on Jan 6th in response to their demand .and all will be explained in the 2nd and 3rd part of this fractured fairy tale… .. and the letter will be put up in its entirety as well…. you can decide 🙂

Sad Story Loraine but it actually did make me really laugh. You really should write a book. Can’t wait for the next episode. I did know the story of the sadness behind the scenes but sometimes there is no end to peoples deceit – how do they live with themselves. Dawn XX

Got me Dawn – I just can’t fathom the thinking even after 8 months of trying….. you know I really feel like I am living in another world and not understanding the culture or the language.. I don’t think they honestly believe they did anything for us to be upset about…….because to think that one would have to care about Chris and his family .and I suspect that is the answer….. he became a commodity and us an irritation? only rationale I can come up with . Part Three Thursday Loraine

I was there when all this happened, and can only say how shocked I was that someone that has just lost her husband is already thinking of their next monthly payments. I also learned a new phrase “COOL BEANS” which to this day I still do not understand what it means

I still don’t know what “Cool beans ” means a medical term maybe 😉
